Our Tours
Taklam offers a variety of land tours encompassing all the major points of interest in Kokopo and surrounding areas, these include German Administration history, Japanese Occupation history, World War II history, Caving, Birdwatching, Trekking and Volcano climbing. Our most popular tour is a day tour exploring the region including sites such as Bitapaka war cemetery, Queen Emma's grave, old Rabaul town, submarine base and Japanese barges.
Sea Tours and Game Fishing
We also offer adventurous tours and fishing trips with overnight facilities available. A popular trip is the day tour to Duke of York islands, fishing on the way and having lunch and snorkelling on the island . We also offer and operate tours on behalf of cruise lines with recent examples being "the Crystal Symphony", "The Seven Seas Navigator" and "Orion Expedition Cruises."

Mask Festival - 15-18 July 2009
PNG's rich culture varies greatly from area to area, and each province has its own special rituals. East New Britain's annual Mask Festival is one of the special rituals performed featuring mainly traditional dances from within the East New Britain area and a few others from around the country.
